The reign of accusations and counter-accusations in the on-going Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) power struggle coninued with the deputy national chairman, Cairo Ojougboh, accusing the Senator Ahmed Makarfi faction of plotting to purchase the judgement at the Supreme Court.
He made this allegation while addressing newsmen at the party secretariat.
According to him, information reaching them point to attempts by the Makarfi “to do anything in order to secure the judgemnet in their favour”.
He said, “We make bold to say nobody can buy the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court cannot be bought, and that the party has implicit confidence in the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Samuel Walter Onnoghen and his colleagues in the Supreme Court,”
Makarfi-led faction had filed a suit at the apex court after a Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt ruled in favour of Ali Modu Sheriff and declared him the PDP national chairman.
