Theresa Bartram from Brighton, in a bid to improve her sex life after birthing just one child becomes a yardstick and a living proof of vaginal with “teeth” after surgery.
The woman who said that she lacked confidence in the bedroom after suffering weakness of the bladder and incontinence said her vagina almost removed her partner’s penis after she had a surgery.
She is now 50 and has had to do without sex for seven years, until she was referred to for an operation to lift her battered bladder, using a plastic mesh sling known as transvaginal tape to stop her bladder from leaking urine.
Vaginal tightening two years of pleasure
She said it worked wonders for two years till 2009 when it almost rendered her partner a Eunuch.
Recalling she said “It was like it had grown teeth”.
“His willy (penis) was bright red and spouting blood. There was a big red stain spreading between us on the sheets.
“After that, he was scared of my lady garden (vagina) and approached it as if it was a Venus flytrap and he was a bluebottle.”
Bartram, stressed that her man’s gory injury was caused by the mesh she could feel inside her.
However, her doctors dismissed it claiming that the mesh was working very fine.
Her partner avoided sex with her, from fear of recurrence and they eventually ended their relationship after six months.
Confidence shammed by teeth
The confidence she thought she boosted was again brought to the bottom as she avoided sex in order no to injure anyone with her carnivorous vaginal.
Subsequently, she went on a diet and started exercising, and dropped from a size 20 to 14 then another doom spiraled.
A few months on, Theresa started with a bloated stomach, thunderous stomach pains, diarrhoea and vomiting.
She observed a decline in her health generally and visited her GP, where she was diagnosed with IBS and later prescribed antidepressants.
The years that followed, her gallbladder was removed, she saw 25 different doctors but Theresa insisted that her problems generated from her mesh.
At this point, she has read all there is to read about complications which caused the vagina surgery to be banned in Scotland.
Her healing however sprang after her vagina started leaking green puss and started oozing, then she was properly examined by a consultant who ordered that the mesh be urgently removed.
Meanwhile, the damage had deteriorated from her vagina opening through the navel side of her vaginal wall, which led to an abscess growth, leaving it deeply infected.
Healing with celibacy
The mesh was removed in 2015 after they found out that it had gathered itself with cartilage to her pelvis, by first shrinking them before it turned hard.
“It felt like razor-sharp teeth, hence why it had ripped a chunk from my boyfriend’s willy,” Theresa explained.
However, she was later told that the mesh had been fitted too low, which is what led to her ordeal of a teeth vaginal.
The removal of the mesh took her 10 steps backwards to the state she was before she requested the tight vaginal.
At 50, Theresa fears that she will have to stay celibate for the rest of her life.
“I was told this simple procedure would cure my incontinence and give me more confidence in the bedroom, but it has ruined my life.
“It made my vagina deadly and forced me into a life of celibacy. It could have killed me,” she said.
Although she said that she is “pleased the mesh is gone, but it has left my body and my vagina a total mess.
“I wear padding all the time and sleep on incontinence sheets.”
Theresa is a living example of why mesh surgery should be banned and she is advocating for its ban.
