Again!!! 37yr old Nigerian drug dealer arrested during a sting operation in SA
A sting operation led by the police together with the mounted unit and K9 unit resulted in the arrest of a 37-year-old Nigerian man on Wednesday, October 21st. According to Capt. Ntobeng Phalal, the police followed up a tip-off and raided a house in Jorissen Street where they arrested the man and confiscated several stolen items and drugs.
The items confiscated during the operation include: rock and CAT to the estimated value of R18 000, few dagga plants, cash, 8 cell phones, printers and a laptop,” Provincial police spokesperson Col Ronel Otto said.
The arrested suspect is due to appear in the Polokwane Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 22, Otto added.

A statement by NDLEA says that the suspect who is married was arrested during the outward screening of passengers on Ethiopian airline flight to South Africa.
Speaking on the arrest, the NDLEA commander at the Lagos airport, Ahmadu Garba said
“A Nigerian living in South Africa by name Ayoola Ayodeji Adebayo was found in possession of 3.920kg of methamphetamine on his way to South Africa. The drug was found in a false bottom of his luggage while he was trying to check-in the luggage. The case is being investigated” Ahmadu stated.
Ayoola who holds a Higher National Diploma in Estate Management at Osun State College of Technology in 2006 said that he made a mistake getting involved in drug trafficking.
“I am a grocer in Pretoria. I have lived in South Africa for over three years. I am married with two children. My friend in Pretoria asked me to bring two bags to him. He bought my return ticket and gave me one hundred and fifty thousand naira. I thought the drug would not be detected because it was neatly concealed. This is a big mistake on my part because I have sustained my family with the grocery business. It will not happen again if I can get out of this problem” Ayoola stated.
Chairman/Chief Executive of the Agency, Ahmadu Giade said that the Agency has taken additional measures to detect hidden drugs at all exit and entry points in the country.
“The Agency has taken additional measures to detect hidden drugs at our exit and entry points in the country. This is in preparation for anticipated increase in drug trafficking at the airports, land borders and seaports towards the end of the year. The arrest of Ayoola whose drug was neatly concealed is an indication that more drugs shall be detected” Giade stated.
The suspect will soon be arraigned in court.

Na wah Oh!!! Brother charged with killing his two sisters and injuring their friend
Matthew A. Hayden, 21, has been charged with the murder of of Sarah and Elizabeth Hayden, and the attempted murder of their friend Joshua Hacker, in Cloerain Township on Wednesday. He shot them dead as the group sat in their parents’ minivan in the back of a home at 3455 Banning Road, according to court documents.
According to Jim Love, Colerain Township public information officer, the sisters were pronounced dead at the home. The victim’s friend, Hacker was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center and is in stable condition. Police said the victims were all teens but their exact ages are not known yet. Hayden surrendered without incident to police shortly after 2:30 a.m. He used a 9 mm handgun in the shooting, was arrested and charged later in the morning.
He faces two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder. The shooter emptied a magazine and then reloaded. There were people in the home at the time but they don’t seem to have witnessed the shooting, Love added. “It’s kind of a hodge-podge situation; not clear that this is one congealed family,” he said. Love said many shell casings from different caliber guns were found on the street but they appeared to have been there for a while and it is not clear if they were from the fatal shooting. “Question is what started this. Is it drug-related, was it an anger situation, is it a relationship situation? Why were they up at 2:30 in the morning, in the backyard? Those questions are all on the table,” he said.
Former Colerain High School football coach Steve Schweitzer, 71, whose well-manicured property is across the road from the home where the shooting occurred, said the residents of 3455 Banning are the exception in the diverse and close-knit neighborhood. “That side of the street is totally different,” Schweitzer said. “This is almost like a climax to what, I guess, was going on over there.” Love said the property is known to police as they’ve made prior runs to the house for unspecified reasons.

Mrs Buhari appeals to Borno, Adamawa, Yobe governors to assist sick children in IDP camps
The Wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, has appealed to the Governors of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States, to urgently do something about the nutritional status of babies and children in the IDP camps in their various states. She is grieved as a mother that children could be going through such appalling conditions in her country.
Mrs Buhari realizes that malnutrition rates for children are at a serious level in these camps, where large number of people displaced by the Boko Haram insurgency are gathered. It is important to note that even under normal circumstances children have specialized nutritional needs. This in effect underscores the importance of highly specialized nutritional support for this category of children.
Mrs Buhari further commended Akinwunmi Ambode, Governor of Lagos State for donating N150 million to the Governments of Adamawa, Borno and Yobe to assist them in the rehabilitation of internally displaced persons (IDPs)

Indonesia to use chemical castration to punish paedophiles
JAKARTA: Indonesia’s President will soon sign a decree authorising the use of chemical castration to punish paedophiles, the attorney general said, following a string of headline-grabbing child sex crimes.
Indonesia will join a small group of nations that allows such punishment, including Poland, Russia, and Estonia, as well as some US states. In 2011, South Korea became the first Asian country to use chemical castration as a punishment.
“We are very concerned about child molestation abuse cases. This phenomenon has reached extraordinary levels,” Attorney General H M Prasetyo told reporters after a cabinet meeting late on Tuesday.
“It has been agreed that there will be additional punishment in order to make people think a thousand times before doing this,” he said.
President Joko Widodo is expected to issue a presidential decree soon approving the punishment after the cabinet agreed to the measure late on Tuesday, Prasetyo said.
Chemical castration would involve injecting convicted paedophiles with a female hormone in the hope “his sexual desire will vanish”, he said.
The rape last year of a 6-year-old student by a group of janitors at the US-embassy backed Jakarta Intercultural School rekindled calls for tougher punishments.
There have been a number of other high-profile child sex crimes since then. A 9-year-old schoolgirl was raped and killed in the capital, Jakarta, earlier this month.
A 39-year-old man has been arrested in relation to that case. Police believe the girl was strangled with a cellphone charger cable, Indonesian media has reported.
