I Will Defeat Both Candidates Of PDP Factions, Akeredolu Boasts

The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Mr Rotimi Akeredolu, made a mockery of the People’s Democratic Party on Monday, saying he will defeat the party’s factional candidates if put together in the polls.

Mr Akeredolu made the statement after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.

He was led to the Presidential Villa on Monday by the Governor of Plateau State and Chairman of the APC governorship campaign in Ondo State, Mr Solomon Lalong.

Briefing reporters after the meeting, Akeredolu boasted that if the two factional candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jimoh Ibrahim and Eyitayo Jegede, combine forces and contest against him, he would emerge victorious at the poll.

President Buhari’s visitors were confident of APC’s victory in the forthcoming election.

The APC governorship candidate in Ondo State had appealed to his co-aspirants in the primaries to come together and work for the success of the party at the November polls.

Addressing his supporters at the party’s secretariat in Akure, Mr Akeredolu said that his concern was to only relate with the people of the state and no other person or group, with the aim of bringing change into their lives.

He was of the belief that irrespective of the current challenge of the party, the APC would form the next government in the state.

The visit to the Presidential Villa follows a list of candidates for the Ondo governorship poll published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

INEC selected Akeredolu as the APC flag bearer while Ibrahim was chosen over Jegede to represent the PDP in the election.

The list also revealed Mr Olusola Oke as the candidate for the Alliance for Democracy (AD).

The choice of Mr Ibrahim triggered a protest staged by supporters of Mr Jegede, who claimed he was the legitimate candidate of the PDP.

Messi has no limits – he keeps getting better – Bartomeu

The 29-year-old continues to be celebrated as one of the best players of all time and his club president hopes he renews his contract soon

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is confident of keeping hold of Lionel Messi, with the Catalan side set to open negations over a new contract in the “next couple of months”.

Messi’s current deal is set to expire in June 2018 and Bartomeu has already said the Barca star has a contract forever at Camp Nou.

Manchester City have been linked with a move for Messi, but Bartomeu is confident of warding off interest from the Premier League.

“This is a decision for Leo Messi or for any player to change club,” Bartomeu told the Telegraph. “Right now Leo Messi has a contract to the end of the Russian World Cup [in 2018] and we are very happy with him. Very happy. He’s the best player in the world, by far.

“I don’t know what will happen in the future but of course we will always try to explain to him that he is at the best club in the world and this is the best place for him to live and he is living the best experience of his life with us.

“He is still only 29. And if you see him playing it seems like he is one of our very young players. Leo Messi reinvented himself two years ago and changed the way he played and he is a better player now than he was then, a much better player. So normally players increase and then reduce but he is still growing. So where are the limits? We don’t know.

“We will have the negotiation with Messi in the next couple of months.”

Messi and Barca will reunite with Guardiola again on Tuesday, City hosting the Spanish giants in the Champions League.

Guardiola suffered a humiliating return to Barca on matchday three, routed 4-0 by his former club, where he won 14 trophies during his tenure as coach.

Asked if Guardiola could return to his boyhood team, Bartomeu said: “You never know.”

He added: “Pep is creating a new project at City and I can tell you – it will be successful. He’s an incredible coach.

“I hope that one day he will be back here. There are so many people who were at the club, went, came back again. You never know but right now he is concentrating on City. I think he has a three-year contract?”

Amosun sacks NLC chairman, 14 others, suspends 18 teachers

The Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, has approved the dismissal of the state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress,  Akeem Ambali, the  NLC vice-chairman and the state Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers, Dare Ilekoya.

Also on the dismissal list were 14 others. Eighteen others, who are mostly teachers, were suspended.

Their dismissal and suspension was part of the recommendations contained in a report of a panel of inquiry set up to investigate the alleged misconduct of the executive members of the NUT during the 2016 World Teachers Day celebration on October 5 in Abeokuta.

The officials of the union were said to have been suspended for their roles in the conduct of the celebration.

The recommendations of the panel signed by the Head of Service, Sola Adeyemi, were approved by the state government for immediate implementation.

Our correspondent gathered  that the state government set up an administrative panel of inquiry to look into alleged complaints received from some members of the public against the affected officers for their alleged involvement “in various acts of misconduct and contravention of extant regulations during the celebration.”

The NLC chairman was until his dismissal a deputy director, Community and Social Development, Sagamu Local Government Area of the state.

He was accused of making “inflammable and scandalous remarks” against the state government, which the panel noted,  could cause the breach of peace in the state.

Those dismissed from service were said to have been found guilty of contravening the Public Service Rules 04401,04421(c&d) and 04406(a).

Those dismissed were A.O. Oshin, Nola Balogun, Eniola Atiku, Solaru.O., Adebanjo T., Akinola A.S., Oyolola S.A., Obafemi O.B., Ogunsola Peter, Akinlade S.A., Christopher T.A., Ogunrombi A.A., Azeez K.I. and Taiwo A.O.

Those suspended were Odusanya S.A., Comrade Akapo, Adegbesan J.O., Adelami S. I., Obadara O., Ogunnuga O.A., Ayokambi T.A., Tijani A.A., Adegbesan J.O., Idowu A.O., Olaifa O.A., Bayo Lasore, Ahmodu S.A., Oludotun Oliyide, Tijani Y.A., Awode I.A., Dada O.A. and Adesanya Abiola.

The state government had directed the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, the State Universal Basic Education Board and the Teaching Service Commission to implement the recommendations with immediate effect.

But the state NLC chairman has described the action as “executive recklessness and abuse of all statutory laws.”

He urged the workers “to remain resolute in the quest to have their legitimate right from an autocratic and deceitful government.”

In a statement on Monday night, he said he had never been summoned by any panel, adding that the attention of the leadership of the union was just drawn to the purported dismissal through phone calls.

The statement read in part, “Our call for this strike is legitimate, just and right. They have only shown their true colour and this new approach is unprecedented in the history of this country, as no state governor has done what they are doing to us in Ogun State. Their past draconian efforts have never yielded any fruits, so also will be this move to cage us in Ogun State.

“We only want to warn that they should not set this state on fire, even as we urge our members to remain calm and just stay at home. Aluta continua!”

City FM OAP Ogbagi Grace appologises for accusing upcoming comedian Ominaho of blackmailing her over a lesbian sextape

See what she wrote below:
“My last 10 hours

  1. I want to start by appreciating the intervention of my mentors and well wishers about the story I put out earlier.
  2. I also want to apologise to City FM for being dragged into the matter because I never said I am a staff  of that radio station so that information isn’t totally correct.
  3. I attended a mediation meeting with Omini in which our exchange of messages was analysed and where he said the video he talked about had nothing to do with nudes but a skit he wanted me to feature in(even though it got me wondering why I’d be interested in a skit). It was brought to my knowledge that i must have infered it was the sex video based on our past interaction. I regret this and apologize to him for any pain my release must have caused him. I also apologize to anyone else hurt by my post. The mediators did show that it was not a case of threat but a miscommunication and misinformation.

4. I have read all sorts of interviews as well twisting the type of content the video was. I stand by what I saw and said but i won’t go into further details because it belonged to my past and I know I have been forgiven by God by acting without discretion so I leave the truth about it all to God and the people involved. And I sincerely forgive the trusted friend who shot the video.
5. I want to thank the maturity of the elders that mediated and my mentors and I believe a lot of lessons have been learnt and I will bounce back better from this.
Thanks and God bless you all.

Robots that humans can have Sex with would be hitting the market come 2017

I don die, there are reports that sex robots with fully functioning genitalia are set to hit the market next year and will cost up to £12,000. The next generation of dolls are likely to be hyper realistic with features never seen before.

They will have built-in heaters which so they have genuine body warmth and sensors that can react to touch. Founder Matt McMullen said:

“I want to have people actually develop an emotional attachment to not only the robot but the actual character behind it to develop some kind of love for this being.”

Levy, author of Love And Sex With Robots, said:

“I’ve no doubt some will find it creepy, but the arrival of sexually responsive robots will have enormous consequences.

We have already seen rapid changes in human relationships thanks to the internet, mobile devices and social media.

The next major advance will enable us to use our technology to have intimate encounters with the technology itself to fall in love with the technology,to have sex with robots and to marry them.”

Chai, God help us in this world , have they developed a cure for cancer? No. . . Aids nko ? No but here they can create Sex robots , smh. Anyway what do you think , would you like to buy this in 2017?
