An elderly man driving a Nissan Micra ploughed into the home in Quaker Yard in Treharris after careering off the road.
A picture of the damage caused to the front of the house was tweeted by South Wales Police Roads unit, writes Wales Online.
Police confirmed no one was injured in the incident after the silver car landed on the handrail.
The incident was tweeted by the police shortly after 11pm on Thursday.
