Jimi Vaey says..........: New Hummer bus bursts into flames at Ojota, Lagos leaving one dead and others injured 😱😱😱

The Hummer bus which was reportedly a new one, caught fire at Ojota bus-stop close to Total filling station in Lagos leaving one woman dead and several others injured.

The fire, according to an eyewitness, was caused by overheating. There was a fierce struggle among the 16 passengers as they tried to exit the bus.

One woman was trampled on during the struggle. It was reported that the driver of the bus passed the night in a filling station to purchase fuel.

Another eye witness said there was no fire extinguisher in the bus and the one provided couldn’t put out the fire.

The vehicle reportedly burned down while the incident has also crippled traffic in the area. The driver who was in shock said he got the new vehicle for N8 million.

By the time officers of the National Emergency Management Agency got to the scene, the situation could not be salvaged
