SOUTH AFRICA PARLIAMENT – The National Assembly will debate a motion of impeachment today, calling for the removal of President Zuma of south africa from office.
Calls have been mounting for the President to step down following the Constitutional Court’s ruling on Nkandla last Thursday.
The court found that Zuma violated the constitution and his oath of office by not complying with the Public Protector Thuli Madonsela’s findings.
The Democratic Alliance has also called for National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete to also step down.
Opposition parties have previously tried to have the President impeached, without success.
