Footballer looses both legs in a hit and run accident while helping his friend fix his car

So sad,  A footballer lost both his legs after he stopped to help a friend in a broken down car, before another vehicle smashed into them. 

Shaun Whiter, 27, had come to the aid of friend Joey Abbs when they were crushed against their own cars in the devastating accident. 

Both sustained injuries, with doctors eventually deciding to remove Shaun’s legs from the knee down. The driver of the Ford Focus that crashed into the two men on July 1 failed to stop, according to Cambridgeshire Police, leaving Shaun and Joey in desperate need of medical help.  But despite being a double-amputee Shaun Whiter is still determined to walk down the aisle with his fiance
