A former acting President of Court of Appeal, , has died. He died yesterday November 7th at the Ibrahim Badamasi Babaginda Specialist Hospital in Minna, Niger State. He was 65 years old. Adamu was appointed as the acting President, Court of Appeal in August 2011 following the controversy that led to the exit of his predecessor, Justice Isah Ayo Salami.
He began his legal journey in 1989 when he was appointed High Court Judge of Niger State. In 1993, he was promoted to the higher bench as a Justice of Court of Appeal. He has served in the Court of Appeal, Calabar as Presiding Justice; Lagos Division of the court as presiding Justice of the 2nd panel; Ilorin Division as Presiding Justice. Until his appointment as Acting President of the Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice Dalhatu Adamu was Presiding Justice of the Sokoto Division.
Dalhatu who was married with two wives and had nine children, has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
