Governor Ayo Fayose and Fulani herdsmen in a closed door meeting, see what happened (Photos)

  • Leaders of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders on Tuesday, November 1 visited Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose at the government house.

A close aide to Fayose, Lere Olayinka revealed that the Fulani herdsmen went to see the governor to express their support for the Ekiti anti-grazing law.

Fayose has come under heavy criticism for the anti-grazing law which has a minimum sentence of two years in jail for any herdsman grazing his cattle on somebody’s farmland.

Meanwhile, reports say at least five people were killed by suspected Fulani herdsmen, who, on October 31, raided Gbada community in Kaure region of Shiroro local government area of Niger state. The attack was carried out at about 3a.m and that several locals were also wounded, while others are still missing.
