The Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar donated the birthday presents of three cows and five bags of granulated sugar he recently received from billionaire Aliko Dangote. He transferred his gifts to the Internally Displaced Persons living in and around the Adamawa State capital. The Adamawa Peace Initiative handled the distribution of the cows and sugar at three centers that house out-of-camp IDPs: St Theresa’s Cathedral, Jama’atul Nasril Islam headquarters, and the Kinjir Foundation in Jimeta, Yola, on November 27th.
The Dangote consignment was delivered on November 24 from Savannah Sugar Company by Joshua Zinas, Administration Manager, and Sani Ibrahim, Sales & Marketing Manager. It will be recalled that Atiku had told family, friends and well wishers,to channel all birthday presents to IDPs.
