The Europa League has thrown up a sublime last-16 tie as Manchester United face Liverpool – and Jamie Carragher has joked that it’s a win-win situation for his former club.
United will make the short trip to Anfield for the first leg next month before hosting the return fixture at Anfield, while Van Gaal has already admitted that his side’s best chance of reaching next season’s Champions League is to win this year’s competition.
