The world of sports entertainment is mourning the loss of WWE Hall of Famer Harry Fujiwara.
The 82-year-old passed away on Sunday morning.
The wrestling world lost one of its brightest stars on the morning of Sunday the 28th of August 2016. Harry Fujiwara, known to fans as Mr. Fuji, died Sunday morning at the age of 82, WWE announced.
Mr. Fuji was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007 after 30 years as both an in-ring performer and manager. He was known for carrying small bags of salt in his pocket to throw into his opponents’ eyes during matches.
The WWE added that Mr Fuji’s career will be remembered by different generations for different reasons, but Mr Fuji is one of the most entertaining performers in the history of WWE.
Condolences have flooded in from current wrestling stars including Triple H, who said: “An unforgettable character in front of the camera and an even better one behind it. Rest in Peace, Mr. Fuji.”
